Update on Tristan

Tristan continues to fight as we surpass a year of living with the reality of cancer. Tristan has transitioned to part-time school, greatly benefiting him psychosocially with a structured routine. Despite the loss of taste buds due to radiation, he's generally feeling well but he has been consistently losing weight. This is an ongoing concern.

An appetite stimulant, advised by a CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukemia) adult specialist, will be initiated to address his weight loss. Monitoring for GVHD (graft versus host disease) through a potential endoscopy is on the horizon if weight loss persists. Encouragingly, his B-ALL (B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) is in remission, and recent bone marrow tests showed only a few BCR-ABL cells for CML.

He continues daily Dasatinib and will have another biopsy in December. We embrace positivity and strive for normalcy each day, valuing the little things. Tonight, we're supporting cancer research at the Funk You Cancer Event at Levitate in Marshfield, aiming to make a difference. Join us in this important cause!
